Spotify Expands its wing to India

A year Back Spotify Expresses its interest to enter India and today company delivered it, A New Competition for JioSaavn, Gaana and Amazon music is in the market.

The Swedish Company will offer Free of cost music for Indian audience including local and international songs.

There will be also an option of upgrade premium starting Rs59 Per Month Onwards which much lesser as compared

 International market prices of Spotify  is $9.99 in the U.S., €9,99 ($11.30) in France, and £9.99 ($13.25) in the U.K

India is one the fastest growing market and Spotify sees a big opportunity in it, the app will enable to listen to any song on demand instead of a limited set of the playlist as others.

India Spotify MD Said “Average Indian Spends 21.5 Hours listening to music per week which made audio streaming business triple from 2017 to 220 Crore”

Spotify had redesigned the app for Indian user which will have features like multi-language music recommendation and city playlist that will show trending music in other cities.

Spotify user will currently have access over 40 million songs and 3 billion playlists across Indian and international music and it also supports Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Currently, the company have 79 Market Covered with more than 207 Active million user which comprises of 96 Million Paid users.
